Text Box: Text Box: Daniel Holton comes from a family of faith, values and commitment to excellence. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Dan grew up surrounded by family members who were leaders in the business community as well as strong supporters of charities and church. As a young man, Dan excelled in the fine arts and graduated from a well known fine arts academy high school in Jacksonville. Later her worked in radio and acted as emcee for various functions and organizations. In 1999 Dan joined the United States Coast Guard, where he served aboard the USCG Cutter Alex Haley in Kodiak, Alaska as well as other locations. His last port of call was Tybee Island near Savannah, Georgia, and this is where Dan found a new home. He moved into the historic development of Gordonston in Savannah and quickly became involved in the community, serving as his neighborhood chairman, being highly instrumental to candidates and community projects as well as lending his considerable talents to non-profits organizations. He graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2008 with a bachelor of arts in political science, with special studies in public relations, communications and leadership.
